The theme verse for last year’s Vacation Bible School (VBS) was John 14:6, where Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the father except through me.”

At SonSurf Beach Bash VBS, kids learned that there is only one truth:  Jesus!  Each day’s theme pointed to Jesus –they learned about who Jesus is, found out how to have a relationship with Jesus, and how to depend on Jesus in their daily lives. 

The children learned about Jesus through the beach-themed activities, including Bible stories, arts and crafts, games, and snacks! 

Last Year's VBS

Curriculum: Gospel Light's SonSurf Beach Bash VBS

Hours: 8:30-12:00

After Care: 12:00-5:30pm

There will be age-graded classes for children 3 years old (by June 1st) up to those just completing 5th grade. Three to four-year olds will begin and dismiss in the classrooms. Pre-K to 5th grade will meet in the sanctuary each morning. Pre-K will dismiss from the classroom. K-5th grade will dismiss from the sanctuary. A parent must pick up each child.

Structure

Pasadena provides a Bible story and verses, crafts, snacks, music and a lot of fun, based on the Gospel Light curriculum.

Preschool classes are grouped according to age, with a small teacher-student ratio. Music, snacks and crafts are brought to the preschool classes to supplement the teacher's talents. Older children visit various specialized areas for snacks, crafts, music, Bible work and the morning opening.
